Mechanical/Electrical Engineer – Wastewater Treatment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join our construction team in Nakuru. The role focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems within wastewater treatment plants.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve design documents for mechanical and electrical disciplines, especially trickling filter systems.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and international engineering standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals, producing clear documentation for project teams.
• Collaborate with construction crews to integrate engineering solutions on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience.
• At least 5 years working on wastewater treatment plants, with experience on two or more plants.
• Strong foundation in applying engineering principles to industrial projects.
