Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to lead design and operational activities for our water treatment facilities in Kenya. The role involves overseeing process optimization, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure projects on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design reviews with a focus on trickling filter systems.
• Develop and implement process designs and control strategies, including equipment sizing and technology selection.
• Set and adjust operating parameters to meet performance targets.
• Perform data analysis, performance evaluation, and troubleshoot complex process issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health & safety standards, and quality management practices.
• Work with SCADA and PLC‑based control systems on large‑scale projects.
• Prepare technical reports and collaborate with cross‑cultural teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in process or chemical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a Wastewater Treatment Plant in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with Kenyan environmental regulations and international safety standards.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Nakuru County.
