Mechatronics Field Service Engineer – Non‑Rotary Equipment

About the role

The company is seeking a Mechatronics Field Service Engineer to support non‑rotary equipment in the beverage and fast‑moving consumer goods packaging sector. The role involves on‑site installation, adjustment, troubleshooting and performance testing of mechanical, electrical and automation systems at customer plants.

Key responsibilities

• Execute mechanical, electrical and automation troubleshooting, including cable wiring, mechanical installation, adjustment and PLC logical analysis.
• Operate and maintain mechanical systems and HMI according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Operate electro‑mechanical systems and HMI for regular activities and troubleshooting.
• Test and evaluate equipment performance against technical, contractual and safety specifications.
• Handle, check and transfer equipment non‑conformities.
• Submit working time and technical reports for all activities.
• Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Report after‑sales opportunities detected on customer sites.

Required profile

• Graduate in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in related field activities, preferably in the beverage industry.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time, including international assignments.
• Familiarity with Sidel equipment (overwrapping, packer, palletizer, depalletizer) is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic PLC management (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc Robot, B&R, Schneider).
• Pneumatics knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings and line layouts.
• Solid technical background in mechatronics/electromechanical systems.
