NGIS Housekeeper

About the role

Amentum is recruiting a full-time NGIS Housekeeper based in Mombasa, Westlands. The role covers cleaning guest rooms, common areas and other NGIS facilities in line with the Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual, and requires holding a valid NGIS Housekeeper certification.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, common areas and other NGIS facilities according to the current Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, removing trash and disinfecting surfaces.
• Restock room amenities such as linens, toiletries and supplies.
• Monitor and identify areas needing extra attention or deep cleaning.
• Maintain certification from a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer and stay up to date with training and operational standards.
• Follow housekeeping procedures in line with Navy standards and safety protocols.
• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns or damages to supervisors promptly.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment properly and inform supervisors of low supplies or equipment problems.
• Provide courteous service to guests and coworkers and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid NGIS Housekeeper certification obtained through a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.
• Knowledge of the Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.
• Valid passport, valid for at least one year at hiring, and ability to obtain country-specific visas and pass contract medical requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.
