NGIS Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The NGIS Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee housekeeping and custodial operations for Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities on Diego Garcia, ensuring cleanliness, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage housekeeping and custodial staff to meet NGIS standards.
• Coordinate daily cleaning schedules, common‑area maintenance, and inventory restocking.
• Monitor quality and efficiency of cleaning services and ensure compliance with operational guidelines.
• Train, mentor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback to improve productivity.
• Utilize a hotel property management system (PMS) to track room readiness, occupancy and housekeeping updates.
• Inspect rooms and facilities before guest occupancy and address any issues or complaints.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in hotel housekeeping and custodial operations.
• At least one (1) year of college‑level education in hospitality management, business administration or related field.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.

• Strong leadership and organizational abilities to manage multi‑functional teams.
