About the role

The Officer, Global Markets Operations provides essential operational support to the Treasury Operations team, focusing on the execution and settlement of market transactions for Kenya and South Sudan. You will work closely with the Team Leader and Manager to ensure that all trades are processed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader and Manager Treasury Operations in daily back‑office activities.
• Execute transaction processing and manage operational risk within the Treasury unit.
• Ensure accurate and timely settlement of financial market transactions.
• Maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Reconcile exception items and perform deal confirmations with precision.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Oversee timely regulatory reporting in line with statutory and internal obligations.

Required profile

• First‑degree university qualification.
• 2‑3 years of banking experience, including at least one year in Global Markets Operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and handle complex customer queries.
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Solid understanding of financial instruments and settlement processes.
• Basic accounting proficiency.
• Advanced level Excel skills.
