Part-Time Lecturer - Business Modelling & Analytics

About the role

Zetech University in Nairobi is looking for a qualified professional to join its Business Modelling & Analytics programme as a lecturer. The role involves teaching, designing and delivering programmes of study, and contributing to research and consultancy work.

Key responsibilities

• Teach in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
• Design, develop, plan and deliver programmes of study, including new courses at various levels.
• Deliver high-quality lectures and practicals, and regularly review and update course content and materials.
• Collaborate with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and research activities.
• Carry out research, write research grant proposals, seek and take part in consultancies, and present research papers at national and international conferences.
• Disseminate research outputs and provide mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.

Required profile

• PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or IT from a recognised or accredited university.
• Master's degree in the same fields from a recognised or accredited university.
• At least 24 publication points, of which at least 16 come from refereed journal articles.
• At least three years of post-qualification work experience in analytics.
• Up to date with industry standards and registered with a relevant professional body.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Power BI.
• Industry experience in analytics.
