Part-time Lecturer in Health Professions & Medical Education

About the role

The university seeks a part‑time lecturer to deliver public health education to undergraduate and graduate students, contribute to curriculum development, and support research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills‑based sessions in Public Health.
• Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
• Develop, moderate and administer examinations.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and supervise postgraduate researchers.
• Participate in internal and external moderation of examinations and university committees.
• Contribute to quality assurance, accreditation and budgeting processes.
• Mentor junior academic staff and represent the department at stakeholder forums.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, apply for and manage grants, publish findings.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health (Health Professions Education / Medical Education) or related discipline.
• At least three years of university teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and academic committee work.
• Evidence of scholarly publications and experience managing research grants.
• Registered with relevant professional body where applicable.
