About the role
UNICEF is seeking a Partnerships Officer (P-2) to strengthen and expand its development partnership portfolio for Sudan, while being based in Nairobi, Kenya. The role supports UNICEF Sudan’s resilience and development programming through effective collaboration with international financial institutions, bilateral donors and other development partners.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of the work plan for the assigned partnership area, ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery of results.
- Build and maintain partnerships by supporting the development and implementation of standards, guidance, work plans and strategies.
- Develop frameworks and templates, review partner agreements and amendments, and secure senior staff approval while ensuring compliance with UNICEF rules.
- Engage with UNICEF Sudan sections, the World Bank PMU and multiple field offices to coordinate partnership activities.
- Serve as internal focal point for specific donor portfolios, facilitating communication and reporting.
Required profile
- Experience in managing partnerships with development partners such as IFIs, BMZ/KfW and other bilateral donors.
- Ability to work across multiple UNICEF sections and field offices.
- Strong understanding of UNICEF’s partnership strategy and compliance requirements.
