About the role
The Partnerships Officer will support UNICEF Sudan’s effort to expand and strengthen its partnership and resource base with development partners, including international financial institutions and bilateral donors. Based in Nairobi, the role works closely with UNICEF Sudan sections, the World Bank PMU, and field offices to ensure effective delivery of humanitarian and development programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of work plans for partnership development, ensuring timely and cost‑effective results.
- Build and maintain relationships with development partners such as IFIs, BMZ/KfW, and other donors.
- Support the development and implementation of partnership standards, guidance, and strategic work plans.
- Serve as an internal focal point for specific donor portfolios, coordinating across UNICEF sections and external partners.
- Monitor and report on partnership performance to ensure accountability and sustained support.
Required profile
- Experience in partnership development, donor relations, or resource mobilisation within an international development context.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple UNICEF sections, external partners, and field offices.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills to track partnership outcomes.
