Part‑time Senior Lecturer in Health Management, Informatics & Economics

About the role

The University seeks a part‑time Senior Lecturer to deliver public health education and support curriculum development. The role involves teaching, research, and academic service at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, seminars and skills‑based sessions in Public Health.
• Design, develop, review and implement curricula and syllabi.
• Develop, moderate and administer examinations and participate in moderation processes.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship and supervise Master’s and PhD candidates.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university committees and quality‑assurance activities.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, apply for and manage research grants, and publish findings.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Health (Health Management, Informatics or Health Economics) or a related discipline.
• At least five years of university teaching experience in Public Health at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum design, postgraduate supervision and academic committee work.
• Evidence of scholarly publications in peer‑reviewed journals and experience in grant writing.

• Strong pedagogical, assessment and feedback abilities.
• Excellent research, grant‑writing and scholarly publication skills.
• Good ICT skills, including use of learning and research management platforms.
