Patient Registration Coordinator

About the role

Bedford Commons OBGYN is seeking a detail‑oriented, patient‑focused individual to serve as the primary point of contact for new patients. Working closely with the Billing Department and Front Office Team, you will ensure a smooth onboarding experience from the first phone call through appointment scheduling and insurance verification.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with new patients by phone in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Register and schedule new patient appointments.
• Guide patients through the registration and onboarding process.
• Review, update, and verify demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
• Manage incoming calls using a multi‑line phone system and call queue.
• Assist with pre‑registration processes and ensure accurate data entry.
• Audit patient accounts for accurate demographics and insurance coverage.
• Maintain confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide backup support to front office operations as needed.
• Collaborate across departments to support efficient patient access and workflow.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Medical office or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software programs efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
