Patrol Boat Operator

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Patrol Boat Operator to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves safe operation of patrol boats, monitoring watercraft, and conducting rescue missions in accordance with Navy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate patrol boats to verify that all craft in the area are operational and accounted for.
• Conduct regular patrols, maintain visual checks for anomalies, and record all observations per NAVSUPPFACDGINST 3130.3 series.
• Initiate and coordinate rescue operations following Navy protocols.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of patrol boat equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience operating small boats in patrol, security, or rescue roles.
• Physical fitness to manage emergency or rescue operations on water.
• Valid passport (minimum 1 year) and ability to obtain required visas.

Required skills

• Safe boat handling and navigation techniques.
• Knowledge of Navy maritime standards, specifically NAVSUPPFACDGINST 3130.3 series.
• Rescue operation procedures and emergency response.
• Accurate logging and reporting of patrol activities.
