About the role
The Perioperative Nurse provides specialised nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures. The role covers the pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative phases, ensuring safe, evidence‑based care, supporting patient safety, infection prevention, surgical asepsis and efficient theatre operations.
Required profile
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Nursing.
- Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing (mandatory).
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and holding a valid practising licence.
- At least 2 years of experience in a busy Operating Room.
- Direct nursing care experience in surgical cases within the last year.
Required skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
