About the role
The Peri‑operative Theatre Technologist will prepare operating theatres for surgical procedures, ensure proper sterilisation, and manage theatre supplies. This on‑site position is based in Karatina, Kenya.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare operating theatres and arrange surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Sterilise instruments, maintain infection prevention and control standards.
- Manage theatre supplies and maintain accurate records of equipment use.
Required profile
- Diploma in Peri‑operative Theatre Technology.
- At least 2 years experience in a busy theatre environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required skills
- Competence in handling surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Training in BEMONC, BLS and ACLS (advantageous).
