Pharmaceutical Technologist

About the role

The Pharmacy at Aline Facility Management is seeking a qualified Pharmaceutical Technologist to join the team on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for accurate dispensing, patient counseling, and maintaining pharmacy inventory in compliance with Kenyan regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over‑the‑counter medications accurately, adhering to legal and professional standards.
• Counsel patients on proper use, dosage, storage, and potential side effects of medications.
• Receive, verify, store, and organise pharmaceutical stock, ensuring correct labeling and storage conditions.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock‑takes and expiry checks to minimise losses.
• Maintain accurate dispensing records and documentation of pharmacy transactions.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board regulations, Good Pharmacy Practice guidelines, and internal procedures.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety.
• Provide excellent customer service while protecting patient confidentiality.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognised institution.
• Registered Pharmaceutical Technologist with a valid annual practising licence issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Kenya.
• At least one year of experience in a retail, hospital or community pharmacy.
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing procedures, OTC medications and inventory management.
• Strong communication, organisational and record‑keeping abilities with high integrity and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience with pharmacy management systems.
• Proficiency in Point‑of‑Sale (POS) software.
