Pharmaceutical Technology Lecturer (Full‑time, Nairobi)

About the role

The University seeks a full‑time lecturer in Pharmaceutical Technology to join its Faculty of Science in Nairobi. The successful candidate will deliver both theoretical lectures and hands‑on laboratory sessions, fostering a student‑centered learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmaceutical technology and related subjects.
• Prepare teaching materials, practical lab exercises, and assessment tools.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development, review, and quality assurance processes.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and support to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, collaborative research, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification in Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacy or a closely related field (minimum bachelor’s degree; master’s or PhD preferred).
• Prior teaching, laboratory or industry experience in pharmaceuticals.
• Strong analytical ability and capacity to interpret scientific data.
• Excellent communication skills for effective teaching and mentorship.
