Pharmacy Technologist

About the role

The Pharmacy Technologist will support the daily operations of the pharmacy at Focus Clinical and Diagnostics Center, ensuring equipment, stock and quality standards are maintained. This full‑time position requires meticulous attention to medication safety, inventory control and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain pharmacy equipment in good working condition and ensure compliance with insurance exclusion lists.
• Monitor stock levels, perform daily and spot counts, and generate accurate variance and expiry reports.
• Verify prescriptions for correct drug, dose, allergies, patient identification and provide clear usage instructions.
• Dispense controlled substances according to policy and report any discrepancies.
• Chart fridge temperatures twice daily and report deviations.
• Track quality indicators, manage expiry dates, and implement FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Escalate quality, fraud or infection‑control issues to the Pharmacy Superintendent or Business Manager.
• Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality and ensure high client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Mid‑level pharmacy professional with at least 24 months of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy regulations, inventory management and medication safety.
• Ability to produce timely, accurate reports and communicate effectively with clinical staff.
