Principal Solution Architect (India/China)

About the role

The Principal Solution Architect will lead the solution architecture for digital channels, mobile, web and AI across the organisation. Based in either India or China, the role focuses on cloud‑enabled platforms, security, resiliency and identity while aligning technology strategy with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive technology strategy and architecture road‑maps that support both business and group tech goals.
• Govern technical decisions across a portfolio of change, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture policies.
• Accelerate cloud adoption by designing reusable cloud patterns, Infrastructure as Code and SaaS migration strategies.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to align architecture with regulatory, audit and security requirements.
• Promote architecture best practices in resiliency, security, performance and complexity reduction.
• Support cloud engineering productivity through tools, career paths and collaboration frameworks.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in solution architecture for digital, mobile, web and AI domains.
• Deep understanding of cloud fundamentals, security, identity and resiliency concepts.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as banking or financial services.
