Product Manager – AI Education (Nairobi)

About the role

Ello is seeking its first Product Manager in Kenya to lead the Nairobi hub and build a strong, independent product organization focused on AI‑driven education for children.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy for the Kenyan market, translating deep local insights into product decisions.
• Own end‑to‑end product experiences, from user research with children and families to hypothesis testing and shipping improvements.
• Establish team structures, processes, and operating rhythms that enable rapid decision‑making and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, research, and leadership teams across Nairobi and San Francisco.
• Help build the foundation for a world‑class product team in Kenya with high standards and clear processes.

Required profile

• Founding product leader comfortable operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists.
• Deep understanding of children, families, schools, and local market dynamics.
• Strong judgment, high standards, and ability to make decisions close to users.
• Highly autonomous and comfortable with rapid, weekly shipping cycles.
