Production Foreman

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Foreman to lead our Kenya production team at Exhibit Africa. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of exhibition stand projects, from interpreting technical drawings to delivering high‑quality finished stands on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production based on approved technical drawings, ensuring timely completion of exhibition stands.
• Organise labour, materials and production schedules, and supervise fabrication teams in carpentry, joinery, painting and light metalwork.
• Maintain workshop safety, craftsmanship standards and finish quality.
• Manage on‑site installation teams during build‑up and oversee dismantling operations, ensuring proper asset handling.
• Prepare material and purchasing requirements in collaboration with the Operations Coordinator.
• Conduct mock‑up inspections and quality‑control checks before dispatch.
• Train, mentor and develop junior carpenters and workshop staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in a senior carpentry, joinery or production leadership role.
• Experience in exhibition stand construction, shop‑fitting, retail fit‑outs or high‑quality bespoke carpentry.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical and production drawings.
• Strong organisational, problem‑solving and team‑leadership skills.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
