Production Manager – Raw Materials, Pulp & Peeling

About the role

We are looking for a Production Manager to lead the Raw Materials, Pulping and Peeling sections at our Machakos facility. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end production planning, ensuring volume, quality and cost targets are met while upholding strict food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily and weekly production schedules for raw materials, pulp and peeling lines.
• Allocate manpower, materials and equipment to achieve output goals and monitor real‑time performance.
• Lead Section Heads, conduct daily production meetings and coach supervisors.
• Enforce GMP, SOPs and SSOPs, collaborate with QA to perform in‑process quality checks and prepare for BRCGS audits.
• Control production costs by optimizing raw‑material usage and labour productivity.
• Track and report key performance indicators such as yield and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in food‑processing production management.
• Proven ability to manage raw‑materials, pulp and peeling operations.
• Strong knowledge of food‑safety standards (GMP, SOPs, SSOPs, BRCGS).
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development skills.
