Production Supervisor (Packhouse)

About the role

Vert Limited is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee its packhouse operations in Machakos. You will ensure smooth, cost‑effective production while maintaining the highest food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end production processes including drying, holding, cutting, selection and packing to meet volume and cost targets.
• Coordinate shift handovers and act as the primary point of contact for shift technicians, optimizing equipment uptime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Deputise the Packhouse Manager, making critical decisions on daily operations, resource allocation and problem‑solving in their absence.
• Ensure strict compliance with BRCGS, HACCP and GMP requirements, lead internal audit readiness and support external QA audits.
• Maintain traceability and metal‑detection documentation to meet regulatory standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop line leaders, quality controllers and operators, driving productivity and a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in packhouse or food‑processing production supervision.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage shift operations and make high‑impact decisions.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, GMP and food‑safety compliance.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on “right first time” quality.
