Project Coordinator – Nutrition (National & Nairobi County)

About the role

The Project Coordinator – Nutrition will lead field‑level implementation of nutrition interventions across several counties in Kenya, including Nairobi. Reporting to senior technical staff, the incumbent will ensure that maternal and child health activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with World Vision’s Christian values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical implementation and coordination of national‑level nutrition assessments and interventions.
• Lead a multidisciplinary implementation team to strengthen community health systems and promote diversified micronutrient‑rich foods.
• Collaborate with Nutrition technical working groups on maternal‑infant‑young‑child nutrition and iodine deficiency assessments in targeted counties.
• Oversee project planning, quality assurance, and timely delivery of all deliverables.
• Administer the project budget, work with finance staff, and prepare financial reports.
• Monitor and track progress of nutrition grants, ensuring activities meet approved plans and budgets.
• Drive the rollout of PD Hearth and dietary diversity initiatives in Nairobi County with effective community engagement.
• Integrate gender equality, child protection, disability inclusion, and Christian values into all nutrition programming.
• Identify local needs and translate them into context‑appropriate programme actions.
• Develop and maintain project management tools such as work plans, budgets, and detailed implementation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing nutrition or maternal‑child health projects in Kenya or similar contexts.
• Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of community health systems and micronutrient interventions.
• Commitment to World Vision’s Christian ethos, professional ethics, and cultural sensitivity.
• Willingness to attend regular team devotions, chapel, and prayer gatherings as required.
