Project Engineer – Marine & Shipyard Projects

About the role

Evac is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its Project Management team. The role focuses on delivering Engineer‑to‑Order (ETO) projects for water, waste and wastewater technologies in shipyard environments. You will act as the technical bridge between customers, shipyards, and internal engineering disciplines, ensuring successful project execution from sales hand‑over to vessel delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the technical scope of assigned customer projects.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
• Lead technical discussions with shipyards, vessel owners, operators and other stakeholders.
• Translate customer requirements into clear engineering deliverables and execution plans.
• Coordinate activities across process, mechanical, electrical and automation engineering teams.
• Monitor engineering progress, budgets and milestones, reporting status to Project Managers.
• Support procurement, production, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and delivery activities.
• Ensure all project documentation meets high standards and is delivered on time.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a marine, shipbuilding or shipyard environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the technical scope of engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Hands‑on engineering judgement and ability to navigate complex technical discussions.
