Project Manager for Angaza Programme Consortium

About the role

The Project Manager will provide overall programmatic leadership, coordination, and operational management for the Angaza Programme Consortium. Based in Machakos, the role involves on‑site work and regular field visits across multiple counties in Kenya.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic implementation of the Angaza Programme across consortium partners, ensuring alignment of technical, operational, finance and M&E functions.
• Establish and strengthen implementation systems, SOPs, coordination workflows and accountability structures.
• Serve as the primary liaison with donors, county governments, refugee agencies and community stakeholders, coordinating reporting, site visits and consortium updates.
• Oversee budget management and resource utilization in partnership with the Finance Lead, ensuring value‑for‑money principles.
• Provide mentorship, supervision and capacity‑building to consortium teams, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 10 years progressive experience managing large donor‑funded programmes, with at least 5 years managing multi‑partner consortiums.
• Proven ability to establish effective implementation systems and operational structures in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of refugee programming, youth livelihoods, gender inclusion and systems‑change approaches.
