Quality Control Team Member

About the role

The Quality Control Team Member ensures that all production processes meet Quality Control, HACCP and GMP standards. Working closely with planners, the role monitors product quality from raw material intake through to dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily production schedules and position yourself to capture all relevant process and product checks.
• Perform visual inspections, QC line checks, and organoleptic (sensory) analysis according to a predefined decision matrix.
• Record checks digitally, quarantine out‑of‑tolerance ingredients or products, and immediately escalate failures to the shift manager and quality supervisor.
• Continuously monitor product quality at all stages, including raw material intake, packing, release and dispatch.

Required profile

• Food science degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of experience in a QC role within an FMCG environment.
• Computer literate and able to work with digital documentation systems.
• Demonstrated consultative, collaborative and analytical behaviours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
• Familiarity with ISO 22000 standards.
• Understanding of GMP requirements.
