Quality Engineer (QA)

About the role

The Quality Engineer supports a Medline division by providing quality‑focused guidance to internal teams such as QA, Project Management and Sourcing, ensuring projects meet all regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure suppliers understand and comply with company and international standards for medical devices.
• Perform in‑line and finished‑product verification according to ISO and company requirements.
• Collaborate with QA and PM teams to define testing parameters that minimize product failures.
• Conduct process audits and drive continuous improvement in process, production, and quality control.
• Lead vendor projects from a quality perspective, including design changes and performance monitoring.
• Assist US corporate offices and Chinese QC teams in resolving customer complaints, root‑cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
• Work with suppliers to reduce rejections, identify cost‑saving improvements, and validate production parameters.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering or a related medical‑device field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience; project management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications and engineering drawings.
• Detail‑oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently and handle special projects as assigned.
