Regional Finance Manager

About the role

Action Against Hunger is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to serve as the senior financial authority for the DG ECHO‑funded Regional Disaster Preparedness Program operating in Ethiopia, Somalia and Djibouti. The role will ensure transparent, compliant, and efficient use of funds across four country operations and five consortium partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain financial management systems, compliance frameworks and reporting standards for the multi‑country programme.
• Ensure strict adherence to DG ECHO contractual requirements and FAO consortium reporting obligations.
• Coordinate financial flows, including hawala‑based payments, across five implementing entities.
• Produce timely financial intelligence for the Regional Consortium Coordinator and senior management.
• Support rapid financial activation for crisis modifiers within 24‑72 hours.
• Maintain robust internal controls and audit trails to guarantee accountability of every euro.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with extensive experience in complex, multi‑partner humanitarian programmes.
• Deep knowledge of EU/ECHO funding regulations and consortium reporting.
• Proven ability to manage financial operations across multiple countries and diverse payment environments.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.
