Regional Finance Manager

About the role

Action Against Hunger is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to provide strategic financial leadership for the DG ECHO‑funded Regional Disaster Preparedness Program covering Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, South Sudan and a regional component. Reporting to the Regional Consortium Coordinator, you will ensure robust financial systems, compliance, and transparent use of donor funds across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the consolidated program budget, maintaining a master budget with visibility of expenditures, commitments, forecasts and balances by country, result area and partner.
• Develop quarterly multi‑country cash‑flow forecasts and monthly Budget‑Versus‑Actual reports, analysing burn rates, variances and financial risks.
• Lead financial preparedness for Crisis Modifier activations, including rapid budget realignment, emergency cash disbursement planning and post‑activation reconciliation.
• Manage sub‑grant administration, donor reporting, audit readiness and multi‑currency operations.
• Provide functional guidance and capacity‑strengthening to country finance teams and consortium partners.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian finance management, preferably with DG ECHO grants.
• Proven track record of multi‑country financial oversight and donor compliance.
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in financial risk management.
