Regional Sales Director – East Africa

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished Regional Sales Director to lead and accelerate our pharmaceutical and nutraceutical business across East Africa. This senior, field‑oriented position requires a commercial professional with deep market knowledge and the ability to travel extensively throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales growth and achieve performance targets across East African markets.
• Lead, coach, and manage high‑performing sales teams.
• Develop and execute strategic market expansion and prospecting plans.
• Deliver scientific and commercial presentations to healthcare professionals, including doctors and key opinion leaders.
• Negotiate with distributors, partners, and key accounts at senior levels.
• Monitor field execution, track performance metrics, and ensure results delivery.
• Represent the company with professionalism and authority throughout the region.

Required profile

• MD or PharmD qualification.
• MBA degree.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• 5–10 years of proven field experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical sales in Africa.
• Strong track record of sales performance and commercial results.
• Exceptional negotiation and sales team management experience.
• Confident public speaker with ability to engage doctors and key opinion leaders.
• Charismatic leader with strong presence and influence.
• Fully mobile across Africa and able to travel extensively without visa constraints.
