Relationship Manager, Diaspora Banking

About the role

KCB Bank Kenya is looking for a Relationship Manager for its Diaspora Banking business. The role focuses on growing the diaspora customer base, retaining existing clients and managing a quality asset portfolio while complying with banking compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Grow market share for the diaspora segment by building and maintaining an effective sales plan for an increased customer base, liabilities, earnings and use of diaspora products and services.
• Maintain customer relationships for the designated portfolio as a retention strategy and increase wallet share.
• Plan, manage and execute campaigns in international markets with high customer potential, and present the Bank's focus to targeted audiences.
• Develop and execute plans to retain and grow strategic partnerships within the diaspora market.
• Analyse market intelligence across competitors and global markets and champion development of innovative products.
• Deliver quality service to diaspora customers and achieve agreed service levels.
• Train bank staff and the sales team on diaspora products to increase product uptake.
• Build a quality diaspora asset portfolio to set targets, keeping credit risk exposure below 5%.
• Prepare and maintain management reports.
• Follow Enterprise-wide Risk Management, including Standard Operating Procedures, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Credit policy, Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• Preferred: ACCA qualification and a Master's degree in International Business.
• At least 5 years of total experience, including:
• 2 years in sales
• 1 year in credit
• 1 year in banking operations
• 2 years in customer relationship management
