Relationship Manager, Diaspora Banking

About the role

KCB Bank is hiring a full-time Relationship Manager, Diaspora Banking, based in Nairobi. The role manages overseas client portfolios, sales and credit evaluations, and requires a Bachelor's degree and more than 5 years of banking experience across sales, credit, operations and CRM.

Key responsibilities

• Grow market share in the diaspora segment by building and maintaining an effective sales plan for an expanded customer base, liabilities, earnings and use of diaspora products and services.
• Maintain customer relationships for the assigned portfolio as a retention strategy and increase wallet share.
• Plan, manage and run campaigns in international markets with high customer potential, presenting the Bank's focus to targeted audiences.
• Develop and execute plans to retain and grow strategic partnerships within the diaspora market.
• Analyse market intelligence across competitors and global markets and champion development of innovative products.
• Deliver quality service to diaspora customers and meet agreed service levels.
• Train staff and the sales team on diaspora products to raise product knowledge and uptake.
• Build a quality diaspora asset portfolio to set targets while keeping credit risk exposure below 5%.
• Prepare and maintain management reports.
• Follow Enterprise-wide Risk Management requirements, including SOPS, AML, CFT, KYC and credit policy prudential guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• At least 5 years of total experience, split as follows: sales (2 years), credit (1 year), banking operations (1 year), customer relationship management (2 years).
• Preferred: ACCA, AAMaster's degree in International Business.
