About the role
The Relationship Officer will acquire and manage customers, process quality loans and ensure timely repayment. The role focuses on growing the loan portfolio while maintaining strong customer relationships and controlling arrears.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential customers, promote loan products and build a pipeline of new business.
- Process loan applications, verify documents, conduct due‑diligence visits and assess repayment ability.
- Explain loan terms, ensure all requirements are met before disbursement and maintain accurate loan records.
- Monitor daily repayments, follow up overdue accounts, negotiate payment arrangements and support collections.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, keep records up‑to‑date and protect customer information.
- Adhere to lending policies, report fraud or irregularities and maintain professional conduct.
