About the role
The Reporting and Information Management Officer will be based in Nairobi and will support reporting, communication, and information management activities across WFP Kenya operations. Working closely with programme, partnerships, field, and communication teams, the role contributes to high‑quality reporting, donor visibility, knowledge management, and strategic communication.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and consolidate reporting products such as operational updates, programme briefs, donor reports and visibility materials.
- Compile information from field offices and programme units to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare presentations, briefing notes, talking points and communication materials aligned with WFP standards and donor requirements.
- Maintain knowledge‑management systems, trackers and information repositories to strengthen internal coordination and information flow.
- Document lessons learned, operational highlights and best practices from WFP Kenya activities.
- Develop and quality‑assure human‑interest stories, newsletters, publications and web content.
- Liaise with programme, technical and field teams to gather operational updates and support coordination of reporting and communication requests across WFP units, UN agencies and other stakeholders.
Required profile
- Experience working with programme, partnerships, field and communication teams in a humanitarian or development context.
- Familiarity with WFP reporting standards and donor communication requirements.
- Strong ability to organise, manage and disseminate information across multiple stakeholders.
