Resident Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

Decalogue International Limited is looking for two experienced Resident Engineers to join its project supervision team. The role is site‑based in Masalani Town and Garissa Town, Garissa County, and requires immediate relocation and full‑time on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance and quality standards.
• Act as the primary on‑site representative of the Consultant, liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities and community representatives.
• Conduct daily and weekly inspections, verify that works follow approved drawings, specifications and material test results.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and quarterly progress reports, maintain correspondence logs and issue registers.
• Coordinate utility connections, approvals and ensure health, safety and environmental compliance on site.

Required profile

• Professional engineering qualification in civil, structural, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and site management.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Required skills

• Interpretation of architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of construction finishes, detailing and quality control procedures.
• Experience with material testing verification and workmanship assessment.
