Resource Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Resource Assistant to support equipment mobilization, inventory control and logistics operations for Schlumberger in Kenya. The role bridges operations, supply chain and finance teams to ensure timely availability of assets and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor job schedules and coordinate equipment mobilization, demobilization and movements between locations.
• Support resource planning by forecasting demand and optimizing inventory levels.
• Maintain accurate data in business systems and generate resource reports.
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain and Resource Coordinators to ensure timely material availability.
• Manage permits, transportation documentation and insurance records.
• Track fixed assets, reconcile inventories and support asset reconciliation activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in resource management, asset coordination, logistics or inventory management, preferably in oil & gas, energy or industrial environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and other ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with resource planning and inventory management tools.
