RTK Surveyor

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time RTK Surveyor based in Gilgil. The role covers RTK and GNSS surveying, road construction setting out, data collection and verification, and equipment maintenance, working closely with engineers, site teams and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure and operate GNSS RTK base and rover systems, and establish and maintain base station, rover and network RTK connections.
• Carry out topographical surveys, coordinate collection and other field measurements, and verify equipment, coordinate systems and settings before fieldwork.
• Set out road centerlines, boundaries, curves, levels, chainages and other points from approved drawings, and verify formation levels, profiles, drainage and culverts.
• Collect, record and process survey data, check measurements and calculations, conduct as-built surveys and keep organized records of coordinates, levels and field notes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot RTK/GNSS equipment, set up and verify site control points and benchmarks, and ensure equipment is handled and stored safely.
• Prepare survey reports, report discrepancies to the Surveyor, Engineer or Project Manager, and support inspections and quality checks.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on surveying experience, preferably in road construction or civil engineering projects.
• Proven experience with GNSS RTK base-rover systems and network RTK field operations.
• Experience in road setting out, levels, alignments and as-built surveys.

Required skills

• Knowledge of coordinate systems, benchmarks, control points and survey data management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, road designs and survey plans.
