Safety & Health Audit, Risk Assessment and Fire Safety Consultancy

About the role

Humanity & Inclusion (HI) Kenya is seeking an experienced consultancy firm to carry out a comprehensive safety and health audit, risk assessment and fire safety audit across its field stations in Nairobi, Kakuma and Dadaab. The assignment aims to ensure statutory compliance with Kenya’s Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007 and related fire safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a statutory compliance audit covering safety, health and fire safety at all designated HI sites.
• Perform a detailed risk assessment, identify hazards (physical, environmental, electrical, ergonomic, chemical, biological, security) and develop a risk register with prioritized mitigation actions.
• Evaluate fire safety measures, including detection, suppression systems, equipment maintenance, evacuation routes and emergency response preparedness.
• Assess compliance with occupational health obligations, first‑aid facilities, PPE usage, work equipment safety, occupational hygiene standards and hazardous material handling.
• Prepare comprehensive reports with findings, corrective recommendations and an action plan for each site.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting safety, health and fire safety audits in Kenya or similar regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007 and related fire safety legislation.
• Ability to produce clear, actionable audit reports and risk registers.
