Bid Manager – Security Services (Pan‑Africa)

About the role

The Bid Manager will own the end‑to‑end bid lifecycle for GardaWorld’s security services across multiple African markets. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Commercial Support, the role combines strategic planning, governance, and hands‑on proposal development to maximise win rates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead early‑stage capture activities, including stakeholder mapping, customer intelligence, competitor analysis and win‑theme development.
• Apply a data‑driven bid/no‑bid qualification framework assessing strategic fit, profitability, operational capacity and risk.
• Define and guide win strategies, coordinate technical and commercial inputs, and ensure compliance and quality of all submissions.
• Manage post‑submission reviews, capture lessons learned and support operational handover.
• Engage country leadership, executive sponsors and subject‑matter experts to align proposals with customer requirements and commercial objectives.
• Leverage market intelligence, bid analytics and competitor insights to continuously improve proposal quality and bid function maturity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex bids in security or related services across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess opportunities using quantitative frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Strategic thinker who can translate market intelligence into actionable win strategies.
