Sales and Collections Internship

About the role

Tenakata, a licensed Digital Credit Provider in Kenya, is looking for a motivated Sales and Collections Intern to support its sales team. This on‑site internship will give you hands‑on experience in market research, lead generation, and debt collection while contributing to the company’s mission of empowering small businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Development Officers and Collections Officers to meet branch targets.
• Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
• Generate sales leads, make cold calls, and support sales meetings.
• Assist in accurate reporting of management information and market feedback.
• Contact debtors, follow up on defaulters, and help recover payments.
• Provide customer education and maintain client relationships.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree (general education level).
• Computer literacy.
• Educational background in Sales or Marketing is preferred.
• Experience in a related field or financial institution is an advantage.
