Sales Associate – Business Development

About the role

The Design Gallery is seeking an entry‑level Sales Associate to develop and nurture relationships with high‑net‑worth clients, developers and design professionals across Kenya. You will own the full sales cycle for luxury interior design projects, from initial pitch through to delivery and handover, while supporting the Sales Manager on complex matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations and close contracts for bespoke furniture and interior design projects.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales process for assigned projects, ensuring timely handover.
• Meet and exceed personal sales targets while identifying growth opportunities in luxury residential and commercial sectors.
• Prepare and present tailored proposals, quotations and brand presentations.
• Serve as the primary client contact, resolving routine issues and escalating complex ones.
• Coordinate client meetings, track project team output and ensure deliverables align with client briefs.
• Represent The Design Gallery at industry events and build a pipeline through networking.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in client‑facing sales, account management or business development.
• Experience in luxury interiors, high‑end furniture, architecture or a comparable premium sector is an advantage.
• Proven track record of meeting revenue targets and supporting a client portfolio.
• Financial literacy to interpret profitability, margins and pricing.
• Genuine interest in design, art and luxury products.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CRM systems.
• Familiarity with project collaboration tools such as Click Up or equivalent.
