Sales Manager – Africa (Export & Distributor Focus)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager to lead export sales and distributor development across African markets for a leading international tea and food‑beverage organization. The role focuses on expanding market presence, building long‑term customer relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in assigned African territories.
• Develop, negotiate and manage strategic distributor and channel partnerships.
• Identify new market opportunities, map territories and conduct competitor analysis.
• Design and execute route‑to‑market and channel expansion strategies.
• Monitor distributor performance and implement trade‑marketing initiatives.
• Support brand visibility campaigns and portfolio expansion.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and business partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, International Business, Sales or related field (MBA preferred).
• 4–8 years of experience in export sales, FMCG, food & beverage or tea industry.
• Proven managerial or assistant‑managerial experience with a focus on African markets.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel extensively across African territories.
