Sales Operations Analyst

About the role

Burn is hiring a Sales Operations Analyst in Nairobi (Westlands) to provide operational analytics, business assurance and decision support across Sales Operations. The role keeps operational data accurate and consistent across commercial platforms, identifies operational and financial risks, supports governance initiatives and acts as the main business partner to Business Intelligence, Software, Finance, Commercial, ERP, Logistics and Carbon teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales operations performance across markets and business units, covering reconciliation, stock governance, commissions, operational KPIs and commercial performance, and support leadership with data-driven recommendations.
• Monitor reconciliation against SLAs and governance standards, analyse exceptions, ageing, open serials and backlogs, and support month-end and year-end closure.
• Validate sales data across Nexus, Navision, BUISY and Metabase, investigate posting anomalies and work with BI, software and ERP teams to fix them.
• Maintain the operational risk register, monitor compliance with SOPs and support internal audits and control reviews.
• Produce insights on commission performance, agent productivity and inventory trends, identify automation opportunities and run root cause analysis.
• Partner with Commercial, Finance, BI, Software, ERP, Logistics and Carbon teams on projects, market rollouts and change initiatives.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance packs, management reports and QBR materials, and present insights and recommendations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Commercial Operations or a similar analytical role.
• Experience with ERP and business intelligence platforms.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Power BI or SQL is an added advantage.
