About the role
Pearson is looking for a dynamic Sales Specialist to lead its vocational education initiatives across African markets. You will drive revenue growth, forge strategic partnerships, and expand Pearson’s presence in the vocational training sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual and long‑range sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners.
- Deliver accurate financial forecasts and commercial performance reports.
- Lead negotiations, close deals, and prepare tailored sales proposals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess their needs.
- Monitor sales metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong understanding of vocational education and training systems.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a car for travel.
- Proficiency at C1 level in English.
