Security Team Lead

About the role

Twyford International is looking for a disciplined, experienced Security Team Lead to oversee the safety of its employees, assets and premises in Kajiado, Kenya. The role combines operational supervision, risk assessment and liaison with external authorities to ensure a secure working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the security team, ensuring effective protection of staff, property and premises.
• Coordinate daily deployment, patrols and activities of security personnel.
• Monitor access control for employees, visitors, vehicles and contractors.
• Maintain occurrence books, incident reports and other security records.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
• Conduct regular briefings, handovers and training on security procedures.
• Identify risks and recommend preventive measures.
• Oversee discipline, attendance, performance and conduct of security staff.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and emergency services when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Police Studies, Military Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of security operations experience, including supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial or corporate environment is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate a team of security guards.
• Strong leadership, communication, observation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Disciplined, trustworthy, physically fit and highly alert.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
