Senior Business Development Executive (Furniture)

About the role

A well-established furniture and interior solutions provider with a strong presence in the Kenyan market is recruiting a Senior Business Development Executive in Nairobi, via Summit Recruitment & Search. The role supports the junior sales team, drives revenue growth through long-term partnerships, engages prospects, builds trust and converts opportunities into a strong sales pipeline within the furniture and flooring industry.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture trust-based relationships with architects, designers, contractors, distributors and corporate clients.
• Take part in industry events, trade shows and forums to expand visibility and the professional network.
• Hold meetings, give presentations and run product demonstrations to turn qualified leads into opportunities and close deals.
• Collaborate with the support team to prepare tailored proposals and solutions, gather client feedback, adjust them and negotiate contracts.
• Manage and grow existing accounts and work with lead generation, marketing and product teams on pricing, product development and market positioning.
• Keep accurate records of client interactions and pipeline progress, report regularly on sales activity and revenue, and share feedback on lead quality and market trends.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, KPIs and business growth objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or another relevant course.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and develop strategic sales plans.
