Senior Campus Administrator – Grounds & Environmental Services

About the role

The Senior Campus Administrator – Grounds & Environmental Services provides senior‑level oversight of landscaping, grounds maintenance and cleaning services across Daystar University campuses, ensuring a safe, attractive and well‑maintained environment for staff, students and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and coordinate landscaping, gardening and grounds maintenance activities.
• Oversee campus beautification initiatives, including flower beds, lawns, tree management and outdoor aesthetics.
• Supervise grounds and cleaning staff/contractors, manage work schedules and quality control.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and standards for offices, hostels, classrooms and common areas.
• Manage waste collection, disposal and environmental compliance.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates for grounds and cleaning services.
• Liaise with Facilities, Security, Transport and other Estates units on shared campus needs.

Required profile

• Christian commitment and practice.
• Master’s degree in Horticulture, Environmental Management, Landscape Design or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in grounds/landscaping and cleaning services management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams of staff and contractors.
• Strong leadership, organisational and people‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Basic record‑keeping systems.
