About the role
NTU International is seeking a Senior Climate & Environment Expert to join a pool of Non‑Key Experts supporting the “Cooperation Facility to Support the Implementation and Programming of EU Action and Team Europe Initiatives in Lesotho”. The expert will be called upon on a short‑term, on‑demand basis throughout the 48‑month project, starting January 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic expertise on climate resilience, biodiversity and environmental sustainability for EU‑funded interventions.
- Conduct climate risk assessments and comprehensive environmental analyses to inform project design.
- Support the mainstreaming of climate considerations across all EU actions in Lesotho.
- Monitor and report on the environmental performance of implemented projects.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in climate adaptation, environmental management or biodiversity.
- Proven experience working on development cooperation or EU‑funded projects is an advantage.
- Ability to work under short‑notice assignments and deliver high‑quality technical advice.
