Senior Clinical Project Manager – Nephrology (Europe)

About the role

Emerald Clinical Trials is seeking a Senior Clinical Project Manager with strong nephrology experience to lead global and regional clinical trials across Europe. This home‑based position offers flexibility while driving strategic trial execution and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent leadership for assigned clinical projects, acting as the primary contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Oversee study management activities including site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close‑out.
• Develop and maintain study timelines, budgets, and project plans, ensuring scope adherence.
• Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.
• Ensure compliance with ICH‑GCP, FDA, EMA, TGA and company SOPs.
• Manage vendor relationships and study‑specific contracts.
• Mentor junior project team members.
• Support proposal development, bid defense meetings, and business growth initiatives.
• Participate in internal and external project team meetings.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of project management experience in clinical research, preferably within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong nephrology (renal) clinical trial experience.
• Prior experience in clinical site management and CRA roles is preferred.
• Proven expertise in budget management, forecasting, and contract oversight.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Degree in a relevant scientific, healthcare, or project‑management field.
